The sounds of the fiddle, banjo, and guitar are likely to welcome you when you visit the Blue Ridge Music Center in Galax, Virginia. The Blue Ridge Music Center is a music venue, museum, and visitor center that is located at milepost 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The center is dedicated to celebrate the music and musicians of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Roots of American Music Museum is also located at the center. The museum offers an interactive, and entertaining, exhibition that highlights the significance of our region's music. At the Amphitheater you will be able to catch many amazing concerts and events. May through October, you are invited to bluegrass, old-time, blues, and Americana concerts. During the off-season, the Music Center will host additional performances, allowing the music to go on year-round. The center is operated by the National Park Service, and musical programming is coordinated through a partnership with the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
